Hello and welcome to my website, my name is Ravi Kona and here you will learn a bit about me and discover my favourite topics, technologies and tools I like.
I've been working in the Media, Information Technology, Education, Banking, Telecommunications, Tax and Energy sectors for well over 25 years.
I have a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Victoria University of Wellington.
I'm passionate about processes, finding efficiencies, looking at synergies in how we work and championing practical, effective and meaningful solutions that deliver the right organisational outcomes and business benefits.
I am IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certified and possess a good understanding of IT Service Management (best) practices.
I have a definitive understanding of Agile methodologies and I'm always excited to introduce and implement Scrum, Kanban and DevOps frameworks in Enterprises large or small.
If I'm not analysing 'things' or data, I'm reading 'stuff' about nature and science or attempting to learn and understand mathematics, geometry, space and time.

If there is a business need, there will certainly be a case for introducing or updating a system and or process - identifying the current state and eliciting requirements enables a clear future state to be defined.
One of the key impacts of any project on an organisation is change - evaluating if the business is ready and understanding how benefits can be realised will bring stakeholders on-board and ensure a smooth transition.

Being nimble, being swift, always adapting and continually improving is hard enough, but choosing the right framework for your organisation can be equally difficult. Can I use Scrum and Kanban, how do I scale my implementation using SAFe or DAD?
Using standardised process notations or a modelling language can help send consistent messages across teams and result in faster agreements. Creating cross-functional activities and tasks using swim lanes can clearly define responsibilities.

Agile is not about a bunch of Post-it® notes on a wall or using a trending methodology - it is a mind-set, it is about autonomous teams, collaboration, using the right tools, stakeholder buy-in and commitment, continuous improvement and a focus on continuous delivery.
